*NEW CLASSIFICATION - Posting of drivers to Belgium

On November 17, 2022, the authorities announced that the final classification of functions in the road freight transport sector is approved and will be applicable starting 1st of January 2023. For several years, the historical trade unions and the employers’ federations have been working on this new classification of functions that covers 10 main criteria.  Each of these 10 criteria has 2 or 3 levels and each of these levels has a score. The total score of points allows you to determine to which level of the classification the function of the rolling staff belongs. The class assigned to the workers determines the basic hourly wage.

You can define the criteria by using an online tool or by downloading the brochure here.

SUPPLEMENT FOR WORK ON SUNDAYS AND HOLIDAYS

Work performed on Sundays and public holidays are remunerated with a supplement of 100% (therefore 200%) under the legislation relating to public holidays.

ALLOWANCES/BONUSES

RGPT allowance of (on all hours of work and availability) 1,8175 EUR

A RGPT allowance is granted per hour of attendance (hour of work and/or hour of availability) to workers as reimbursement for the costs incurred by these drivers outside the company’s headquarters mentioned in the work regulations, costs which are however specific to the company (laundry rooms, toilets, drinks, etc.)

Flat-rate travel allowances:
